About Us

Kestrel Group started in April 2003 with a small team of dedicated professionals committed to ensuring New Zealand organisations are well prepared to deal with any type of emergency or crisis situation.

We had identified a lack of independent expertise in the risk management, business continuity, emergency, and crisis management fields and set about to fill this need.

With offices in Wellington and Christchurch we now provide services in New Zealand and the South Pacific.

We work with our clients to identify what they need to do to reduce risk and improve their readiness, response, and recovery performance. This includes supporting them using emergency scenarios, as well as through actual events.

Over the years Kestrel has provided support, advice, training and leadership for a wide range of organizations including Telecom NZ, Fonterra, Government of Samoa, Maritime New Zealand, New Zealand Transport Authority, GNS Science, Earthquake Commission, Barnardos and New Plymouth District Council.
