Over the last eight years Karen's work in crisis management, business continuity and emergency management has taken her around the world, managing assignments in the US, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Her extensive experience includes working with major corporations, large Government departments and local government.
As well as working as a consultant Karen has spent two years as Emergency Manager for Wellington City Council where she implemented emergency management plans as well as having high profile input into New Zealand's Emergency Response Planning and policy.

Karen is also active on the speaking circuit, delivering keynote addresses at major international emergency management conferences.
